A complaint was raised that several field activities paid for by EOC were fictitious. In co-ordination with CID, the matter was investigated and it was established that the secretary of the commission, the under secretary, accountant and six others were involved in making irregular payments of UGX210m. They were subsequently arraigned in court on charges of abuse of office, causing financial loss and embezzlement.
