In February 2020, SH-ACU received a complaint about irregular payments of UGX1.3bn to the local governments of Jinja Municipality, Butebo, Manafwa and Namisindwa Districts. Police conducted investigations and found that this was a salary loan scam. So far eight persons including the CAO, PHRO, one Member of Pariament and directors of the company have been charged.
