December 2, 2022. As part of the Anti-Corruption Week activities, the Anti-Corruption Agencies came together to create awareness in the fight against Corruption and also bridge the gap between the public and the Agencies.
Under this years theme “It’s a Citizen’s War To Eliminate Corruption”, the Inspector General of Government, Hon. Beti Kamya, State House Anti-Corruption Unit Head Brig Gen Henry Isoke and Anti-Corruption Coalition head Agaba Marlon were on Radio One to discuss the war against corruption.
During the show, Brig Isoke emphasized that despite corruption being a challenge in the country , institutions have been put in place to fight it and if these institutions work together, the vice will be eliminated.
He added that, corruption requires constant mobilization, accountability and transparency in all sectors of the public. As Agencies, they must be equipped in all areas and must also involve the masses by letting them know that it is also their obligation, because there is no institution that can fight Corruption alone.
