August 23, 2022. The Anti-Corruption Court has convicted three Alebtong officials; Aula James, the former Principal Assistant Secretary, Ojom Alex-District Internal Auditor & Okello Dellion-Assistant Records officers for Abuse of Office.
The accused in 2018, paid Ugx. 33,840,000/= to Kingscourt Engineering Works Ltd allegedly for borehole drilling, supply of fish cages, fingerlings, feeds & installation without being contracted. The said company did not supply the paid items. They are barred from holding public office for the next 10 years.
