The State House Anti-Corruption Unit working together with Police have arrested the Chief Finance Officer (CFO) Butebo District, Mr. Kowa Mutekanga Simon. Mr. Kowa allegedly mismanaged government funds worth about UGX 1 Billion meant for various projects and departments in the District.
The said funds were meant for various activities including; Capitation grants, piggery, poultry and construction projects in various schools. The CFO was also paying out funds to a ghost school called Kanginima Secondary School.
