Hoima District Officials charged with Abuse of Office.

November 25, 2022. State House Anti-Corruption Unit together with Uganda Police have arraigned four Hoima district District Officials before the Anti-Corruption Division, Kololo on charges of Abuse of Office. The officials are; Baguma Daniel-Procurement Officer, Kiiza Simon- Senior Assistant Secretary, Nsungwa Faiza- Accountant and Byaruhanga Rogers-Statistician.

The accused in abuse of their power allegedly violated the Public Procurement Laws and Regulations through manipulating the bidding system. They did this to favor a certain bidder for the management of the revenue sources of Runga Landing site Market, Hoima District.
