Another whistleblower reported that UHRC officials were involved in financial mismanagement. These were the secretary of the commission, director of regional services, an accountant and two regional human rights officers. Investigations done in liaison with the Police revealed that the officers were involved in the irregular requisitioning, processing, payment and embezzlement of UGX100m for activities they did not implement. The officers were consequently charged with embezzlement and abuse of office.
