A whistleblower complaint raised allegations of financial mismanagement. The matter was forwarded to police for investigation. It was revealed that the CEO, CFO and three others had made fictitious payments of UGX738m to a hotel for a conference that did not take place. Once investigations started, the money was returned by the proprietor of the hotel to the Consolidated Fund.
