Prime Minister Robinah Nabbanja directed the Unit to co-ordinate the investigation into the supply of relief items procured for victims of the flooded River Nyamwamba in Kasese District. In liaison with the Police, investigations were undertaken and it was revealed that OPM had procured substandard tarpaulins, blankets and mosquito nets worth UGX1.012bn in breach of PPDA regulations. The officials including the accounting officer, a commissioner and six others were charged with abuse of office, corruption and causing financial loss
